Civil/Bridge Engineer and Researcher-DOH-THAILAND                           

     I create this website for providing a summary of research and professional projects, publications, teaching efforts and my articles. For some projects, PowerPoint Presentations, Still Images, Videos, and Downloadable Programs are available.

      Below is a brief of my academic information.

      I recieved my Ph.D. from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Kuchma on a research topic entitled "Design and Analysis of Complex D-Regions in Reinforced Concrete Structures". I also have research experiences in the area of computational mechanics, topology optimization of structures, and earthquake engineering.

      I recieved my BS from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand and MS from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

      My favorite subjects are Computational Mechanics of Reinforced Concrete (RC3), Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering.

      My research interests and specialties include the practical design, behavior, numerical modeling of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures subject to complex states of stress, construction and maintenance of complex and smart infrastructure system. Some of recent activities involve investigating the behavior of structural concrete designed by the strut-and-tie method as well as the shear design and behavior of high-strength concrete bridge girders. In addition, my current interest is studying how advanced instrumentation and measurement including realtime communication can be used in field and physical testing for investigation of in-service structural behaviors and calibration, and validation of more comprehensive and reliable numerical models, particularly, the application on dynamic responses and performance of existing and new structures subjected to seismic excitation.
